So where do you

shop? If you are like our family you are starting to frequent (even more than normal) Target and Walmart as shopping days are quickly winding down!

I'm a Target shopper, i love Target pretty much everything about it! I even grocery shopped their UNTIL that is Super Walmart came very near to my house and i had to give it a try (groceries). So much drives me crazy about Walmart...the carts weigh what feels like 200 lbs and when you fill them with groceries and put that 24 pak of water on the bottom...that's it, there is no more steering capability...add on a kid or two riding on the end of the cart and my patience is shot (ha, like that takes very much). Where are the help boxes (push that lovely little button and help comes a runnin), no no help boxes at Walmart...you just learn to shinny up the shelf and grab that pack of size 4 diapers a half mile back on the shelf!

But, did i stay with buying groceries at Target? After a few times of shopping at Walmart i did go back and try Target again and of course was happy to be back in my "comfortable turf" with the plastic carts that didn't weigh 200 pounds! The price difference for groceries and this money saving momma's good conscience sent me shopping for things to fill my hungry's kids tummy's back to the 200 pound cart land...please tell me i'm not the only one that has trouble pushing these...am i really that weak? I continue to wait in the god forsaken long lines that Walmart seems to think might be good for your health or something, and as i stand their i daydream about how if i was at Target they would be jumping on other lanes to ease the lines.

But, all in the name of money i go and i go again, week after week...pushing my 200 pound cart with my 24 bottles of water on the bottom, two kids hanging off the end of the cart doing my one-stop, get everything shopping trip!

So where do you grocery shop...do you go to 200 pound cart land? Or are you a lover of the Target handy dandy help box? Oh trust me, i go to Target still a plenty, just not for the groceries.

I never grocery shop at Target. Way too expensive. I do love the carts though. I sometimes shop at Walmart, but have found that I end up spending more there cause I always find all kinds of things to buy that I didn't know I needed. I HATE checking out at Walmart.

I don't mind the shopping carts being heavy, but do get irritated that they almost always have crooked wheels that once in a while screetch to an abrupt halt.

I never take my kids grocery shopping with me so that helps with the cart part. Last time I took Eli shopping with me they were announcing over the loud speaker about a lost boy within 5 minutes of entering the store. It has been a few years but that was the end of shopping with kids for me. :)

So, I stick with doing my grocery shopping at Price Chopper most of the time. When I go to Walmart for paper products I stock up on frozen food that is cheaper there.

I didn't know Target has Help buttons. I always grocery shop at WalMart. The cart was very hard to push when I had my wrist in a cast, but not too bad otherwise. I always push it a ways to see if the wheels are straight, though, before I start through the store. Wal Mart in Kansas is a breeze compared to the S. Texas stores. Half the time when you ask for help there they just look at you and shrug their shoulders because they don't understand English. The stores here are so much cleaner. So here is another WalMart fan.

I hope the kids are still in the car and not running around in the parking lot while you are getting pictures of the carts:) Enjoy your writing Elisa! You are so funny.

This is hilarious Elisa! Your blogs are so fun to read!!! I shop at Walmart, either before Andy leaves for work (alone) or after the kids go to bed (again, alone!) usually. Our Target is very small and a little pitiful. If I had a larger Target nearby I would shop at it more often, but yes, it is more pricey so I don't usually buy a whole lot there. Although I do love their sales!!! What I like about Walmart is their "Always low prices" and their price matching. They will match any advertised sales price from any store if you take the ad in, so I just go during the "slow" shopping hours and go alone and it makes for a nice shopping experience :) As far as the carts go, yes Target rules the "cart" dept! I do love their carts. Our Walmart has some new and some old carts and I have found the new ones are much easier to maneuver around. I look for those when I go to get one. I also love the sanitizing wipes they have in the doorway to clean the carts off! Major plus! I haven't noticed if Target has those or not, but I love those-especially with having Excezma on my hands and sometimes having open sores on them. Anyway, love both stores but the prices keep me going to Walmart more often. :) Thanks for the fun blog! ;)

I usually shop at Walmart, but not too much for groceries. Usually our little grocery store in town has pretty good prices. I recently went to Aldi's and I LOVE it! It's my new favorite store :)

I shop at Wal-mart, Price chopper and Aldi's for groceries. Depends on the week (aka $$$$) and depends on what I need. The freshest produce is always at Price Chopper for me. The all-in-one $200 a week trips are at walmart. I find that our wal-mart has a terrible variety of items, which I like variety. They have only one brand and there off brand, which is usually only a few cents cheaper. So I like Price Chopper better. I usually take some or all of my children with me. It is crazy, but when you need food, you need food. By myself I spend more money because I take my time. With them I get what I need and get out. Never grocery shopped at Target, we don't have one here.

As for Aldi's, i can't ever remember a quarter..thus causing a problem..ha - i may have to try Price Chopper sometime, i have never shopped there except to pick up an item or two. Oh, and yea June, i hate checking out at walmart too...i went grocery shopping the other night after i wrote this and seriously there were NO lanes except for express lanes open with about 10 people in each line!!! And you that don't have trouble pushing the walmart carts full of food must be sporting some muscles that i am not :)

Elisa, I didn't mind the carts at Wal Mart until you told me they were 200 pounds. The last 2 days they have felt so heavy. Thanks so much for that bit of info. It makes shopping so much more enjoyable!
