The last 2 days they have felt so heavy. Thanks so much for that bit of info. It makes shopping so much more enjoyable!Don and Roberta Graberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00694138095065061774noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23311494.post-2004818511261945182009-12-18T13:55:05.891-06:002009-12-18T13:55:05.891-06:00As for Aldi's, i can't ever remember a qua...As for Aldi's, i can't ever remember a quarter..thus causing a problem..ha - i may have to try Price Chopper sometime, i have never shopped there except to pick up an item or two. Oh, and yea June, i hate checking out at walmart too...i went grocery shopping the other night after i wrote this and seriously there were NO lanes except for express lanes open with about 10 people in each line!!! And you that don't have trouble pushing the walmart carts full of food must be sporting some muscles that i am not :)Elisa Seabahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15521338053266645474noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23311494.post-65681326768115024752009-12-17T21:39:33.680-06:002009-12-17T21:39:33.680-06:00I shop at Wal-mart, Price chopper and Aldi's f...I shop at Wal-mart, Price chopper and Aldi's for groceries. Depends on the week (aka $$$$) and depends on what I need. The freshest produce is always at Price Chopper for me. The all-in-one $200 a week trips are at walmart. I find that our wal-mart has a terrible variety of items, which I like variety. They have only one brand and there off brand, which is usually only a few cents cheaper. So I like Price Chopper better. I usually take some or all of my children with me. It is crazy, but when you need food, you need food. By myself I spend more money because I take my time. With them I get what I need and get out. Never grocery shopped at Target, we don't have one here.Crystalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06308594609237207179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23311494.post-61149815685519027942009-12-17T15:24:51.497-06:002009-12-17T15:24:51.497-06:00I usually shop at Walmart, but not too much for gr...I usually shop at Walmart, but not too much for groceries. Usually our little grocery store in town has pretty good prices. I recently went to Aldi's and I LOVE it! It's my new favorite store :)Barbie Wilsonhttp://www.onelittlewifey.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23311494.post-31551079523861905672009-12-17T00:19:51.750-06:002009-12-17T00:19:51.750-06:00This is hilarious Elisa! Our Target is very small and a little pitiful. If I had a larger Target nearby I would shop at it more often, but yes, it is more pricey so I don't usually buy a whole lot there. Although I do love their sales!!! What I like about Walmart is their "Always low prices" and their price matching. They will match any advertised sales price from any store if you take the ad in, so I just go during the "slow" shopping hours and go alone and it makes for a nice shopping experience :) As far as the carts go, yes Target rules the "cart" dept! I do love their carts. Our Walmart has some new and some old carts and I have found the new ones are much easier to maneuver around. I look for those when I go to get one. I also love the sanitizing wipes they have in the doorway to clean the carts off! Major plus! I haven't noticed if Target has those or not, but I love those-especially with having Excezma on my hands and sometimes having open sores on them. Anyway, love both stores but the prices keep me going to Walmart more often. :) Thanks for the fun blog! ;)Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10108459692463275364noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23311494.post-74608835899218007532009-12-16T22:58:48.899-06:002009-12-16T22:58:48.899-06:00i'm not a fan of the mall since having kids so...i'm not a fan of the mall since having kids so i guess i probably wouldn't be a fan of grocery shopping in the PI huh Val? :)Elisa Seabahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15521338053266645474noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23311494.post-32194298149320216562009-12-16T22:52:24.734-06:002009-12-16T22:52:24.734-06:00oh no worries, i stole the pictures off the intern...oh no worries, i stole the pictures off the internet... i'm much too frazzled after grocery shopping to take pictures :)Elisa Seabahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15521338053266645474noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23311494.post-87063796168289389932009-12-16T22:12:18.542-06:002009-12-16T22:12:18.542-06:00More insight into you girls lives that I would nev...More insight into you girls lives that I would never thought to ask about. I always push it a ways to see if the wheels are straight, though, before I start through the store. Wal Mart in Kansas is a breeze compared to the S. Texas stores. Half the time when you ask for help there they just look at you and shrug their shoulders because they don't understand English. The stores here are so much cleaner. So here is another WalMart fan.Don and Roberta Graberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00694138095065061774noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23311494.post-85251006347595148132009-12-16T13:08:23.037-06:002009-12-16T13:08:23.037-06:00I never grocery shop at Target. I sometimes shop at Walmart, but have found that I end up spending more there cause I always find all kinds of things to buy that I didn't know I needed. I HATE checking out at Walmart.

I don't mind the shopping carts being heavy, but do get irritated that they almost always have crooked wheels that once in a while screetch to an abrupt halt.

I never take my kids grocery shopping with me so that helps with the cart part. Last time I took Eli shopping with me they were announcing over the loud speaker about a lost boy within 5 minutes of entering the store. It has been a few years but that was the end of shopping with kids for me. :)

So, I stick with doing my grocery shopping at Price Chopper most of the time. When I go to Walmart for paper products I stock up on frozen food that is cheaper there.June Duehringhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12080298922358669643noreply@blogger.com
