Pulling Up

Now that Raegan has figured out how to pull up, that is all she wants to do. We find her standing next to anything she can get a grip on. She fusses when she is tired of standing and usually there is someone to help her down. Occasionally she does just drop on her tushy but her preferred method is to be gently let down. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before she discovers the wonder of the toilet!

Our Mornings

This is how Trey and Avery start every morning off. Avery usually has her blanket over her head too. Until breakfast is in front of them they are pretty much just continuing their night's sleep at the table. I have to physically pull Avery out of bed and stand her up and walk her towards the kitchen in order to get her moving.

Sprucing Up The Kitchen

a work in progress

the granite installed
the finished product
i love my under mount sink

This is something we were not going to do until we got a new house but the opportunity presented itself (a little perk of Johnny working for a granite company i guess) so Johnny has given our kitchen a little face lift. When i left for work last night at 5 nothing had been done and when i got home at 9 the granite counter tops were on. Tonight we had to have some plumbing under the sink done (a huge THANK YOU to Jake for that!!), Johnny had to do the seams, drill some holes for the faucet, and finish a few things up and it is sealed and completely done this evening! I love it, and i'm sure it won't hurt when we go to sell our house.

1-2-3-4...

That is 4 nights now in a row that Raegan has slept through the night!! Hooray girl it's about time!! I have been rocking her to sleep (yes i'm spoiling her and enjoying doing it!) at around 10 and she has slept till 7 ish all week so far. The first couple of mornings i had that moment of panic when i realized I hadn't been wakened all night and had to run check on her, but this morning i didn't panic, i just though "oh yea she did it again" :) .

She is a busy little girl now that she can get around. She entertains herself pretty well just crawling around and chewing on whatever she can find to chew on. She goes in and out of the kids rooms and the oldest two fight about whose room she is going to sit in when they are getting ready for school. She pulled herself up to the standing position on the little toy bench yesterday, and then she looked at me with the look of "how do i get down?" Mommy wanted to see what she would do so i let her figure it out-she let go and dropped to her bottom and then immediately started crying. I think she is going to have to get a little tougher tushy cause there is going to be a whole lot more of that in the next few months.

Our Little Cowboy

Ethan loves watching cowboy movies with "Papa" Seaba, and is really into cowboys right now. He has a stick horse and a wooden gun that he usually has with him when he wears the hat.

Stormy Night

This is a little behind- but while Johnny was in South Carolina there were thunderstorms. I knew as soon as i heard the first crash of thunder it wouldn't be long... Trey is usually the first to shoot into our room-this time it was both of the boys hopping in bed with me- Raegan was next and at about 4 am i remember thinking "well this is it because storms "never" wake Avery". About a half hr later Avery came crying into the room-not because of the storm but because her eye was stuck shut. When she saw the rest of the family was in bed with me she joined us. I was literally about hanging off the bed thanks to my children who love to sprawl out (especially Ethan) when they sleep. Needless to say it wasn't the best night of sleep i have ever had :) This picture i took at 4 am, i went to take one in the morning with all 4 kids in bed with me and my camera was dead.

We Got A New Vacuum!!

the crab crawl (Ethan never did crawl on 2 knees so we will see if she follows suit)
pure determination
Raegan 7 and half months old
the inch worm crawl
awww success!

We will rent it out by the hour to anyone who would like. It picks up EVERYTHING! It's pretty cute too if i do say so myself. Yes that's right our little Raegan has gone mobile! Back to the mode of doing the floor scan check to see if anything is laying around could fit through a toilet paper roll. She especially gravitates towards paper and i have had to do some swiping of the mouth several times. She hasn't officially figured out the correct crawling method- she started about a week and a half ago with the army crawl and has progressed to getting up on her knees and then lunging on her chest. She is like a little inch worm and can move pretty fast if she sees something she really wants. This morning she started doing the little crab crawl that Ethan did but didn't stay up very long. Trey thinks it's great that Avery's room mate is now going to start trashing her room. He says "now your gonna see what it's like"!

On the medical side, she had a follow up with the allergist yesterday and got the a-okay to proceed with veggies and meats and most anything else babies her age are eating. She is still doing awesome! She does still spit up (which stopped when we were transitioning formulas) so he gave us a rx for reflux medicine to try out. It's not anything like she used to but she still does so we will try that out.

# 1 JAYHAWKS!!!

GO JAYHAWKS!!
a little intense!
talking to daddy after we went into overtime
WOO HOO!!!!

What a game! I got to enjoy the game with my boy since Johnny is in SC. Trey really got into the game with me, it was fun! I think Trey was a little surprised to see how into the game mommy got. He was so tired by the end but was trying to wait for "One Shining Moment". He decided to go to bed and watch it tomorrow on dvr. He has his KU jersey laying out on his bed to wear to school tomorrow. WAY TO GO JAYHAWKS!!!
