a mini story
Mommy is doing a diaper study. The diapers are like pullups, but with tabs. Raegan likes to take them off. She likes to pee in the potty every now and then. She also pooped in the potty this weekend. She also picked up her poop out of the potty and took it to big sis to show her. Big sis screamed "mommy, she's got her poop!!" Raegan ran and threw it back in potty. Mommy flushed and put baby in bath tub and scrubbed her hands. mommy is not ready to potty train. mommy may not have a choice. the end

Fingerprint Friday
There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:
I can see the fingerprints of god
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of god
And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
and you're covered with the fingerprints of God
Beki, over at Pamperingbeki the blog does a neat "fingerprint friday" post each week and i decided i would finally join in.
I love seeing rainbows and talking to the kids about it's meaning. We saw this one while we were in Hutchinson during "camp gramma". Notice it's a double one. the kids thought that was the coolest!

A calm
this is what happens when you have the girls hamper right close to her bed...they are Avery's shorts she has on her head.
Ever since we finally took the bottle from our dear sweet angel she has turned into a holy terror at night time. Screaming fits that just about had us digging the bottles out of the cupboards...johnny and i both had near set backs of pulling the bottles out but we stuck with it cause let's face it, she can't take her bottle to kindergarten with her. We would give her a sippy cup and she would scream and throw it out of bed (yes, holy terror).Naps have gone much like night time, so much so that i have intentionally skipped them some days because of the battle they were.
AND THEN we discovered the Nuby sport sipper (insert choir singing hallelujah) a sippy cup sitting in our cupboard all along...one of Ethan's never used but once. I tell ya, this thing is a bottle disguised as a sippy!!
It took some readjusting but we are back to her happily going to bed and getting tucked in... NO SCREAMING, it's wonderful!
And though there is no screaming there is often times a bit of play before she settles down to sleep...that i can deal with!

My very first "Not Me Monday"
Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My child would never just rip off her diaper and jump in the swimming pool stark naked. She also would never in the same day rip off her diaper filled with poop and get it all over her brand new "camp gramma" shirt and Grandma's carpet...good thing she's a good girl and would never do something so nasty!
My child NEVER cries. She sits like a perfect angel in her car seat. Nope that certainly wouldn't be my child screaming in the back seat for 2 hours. Nope, not my child!
Camp Gramma comes to an end
our last "camp meeting" my parents did something really neat this year, they went around and talked about each grandchild pointing out special qualities, strengths, ect. and encouraging them. Watching the kids faces while they talked proved that the kids LOVED it!
and last but certainly not least...marshmallows!
I'm very thankful that my parents started having "camp gramma" It takes a lot of time, energy, money, and work on the part of my parents but the kids are going to have lasting memories! It's not very often that all of the cousins get to be together so "camp gramma is anxiously awaited each year.
Camp Gramma 2009
As we girls sit around in the air conditioning Grandpa and Grandma Neir are in the tents with 18 grandchildren. The three youngest unofficial (not potty trained) campers are in the house with their mommy's. We have had a full day today going to the Wichita Zoo after breakfast and then invaded a Cici's pizza for lunch and then we headed to Exploration Place for the rest of the afternoon.
Lot's of swimming, trampoline jumping, zip line flying hours later...most of the kids are sound asleep and we moms are discussing a Sonic run.
