Ethan watches mommy use the doppler and then he wants to do it too. I haven't heard this baby's heartbeat yet so hopefully i will one of these days soon! I am definately starting to show, so i got all my maternity clothes down the other day and washed them all. I am 12 weeks now so i am really holding out hope that this nausea is going to end soon!! This week has been the worst week so far so i'm extremely ready to feel good again! I have been fortunate that Ethan naps so well for me in the afternoon. I put him down after we take Avery to kindergarten and he sleeps for 3 hrs so that i can lay down too.

We got to decorate cupcakes again today for Avery to take to her class for her birthday. Avery put all the sprinkles on her pink cupcakes and they looked very pretty. We made a few extras last minute because she wanted to be able to take one to the principal and to the other kindergarten teacher, so she ended up having plenty to go around.
Daddy has had a little routine that he does with Ethan at bedtime for quite some time now. He used to put Ethan to sleep on his chest when he was younger. Now he puts him to bed and then after a little while of Ethan crying he goes in and cuddles with him on the floor for awhile, then puts him in bed and Ethan doesn't make a peep. (it was dark in the room when i took the picture, i couldn't believe it turned out with our camera that usually makes the pictures darker:)
Ethan has discovered Avery's dress up shoes...
I
am 9 weeks today and so far everything is going good! Nausea has kicked in full force. For a few weeks it was on and off but mostly in the afternoon. Now it is all day long. Hopefully if this pregnancy is anything like my others i only have 3 weeks left of the nausea. I laid in bed today most of the day while Johnny took care of cleaning the church for me. Nothing ever sounds good to eat but i know if i eat something i will feel better for a little while. There have been a couple times when something in particular sounds really good. The other day it was Long John Silvers (i know, nasty greasy) and today it was Arby's (we don't have an Arby's anywhere close to us), so i settled for chicken noodle soup:). My next appt is the 25th of this month so i'm hoping we are able to hear a heartbeat that day and give me peace of mind that everything is really ok. I tend to worry because of our prior problems, even though i know it is all in God's hands!

and there will be a big gap where two front teeth used to be. Both of Trey's top front teeth are loose so mommy is snapping pictures of my little boy while he still has his teeth:). Trey turns 8 yrs old on Friday, my how time flies! He has been counting down the days till his birthday ever since Christmas. He is SO excited for tommorow to come so that he can say "tommorow is my birthday".
Avery has had some really rough nights the last couple of nights with her asthma. The night before last i finally went in after CONSTANT coughing for a period of time and she was just laying there wide awake. I said Avery do you need a treatment and she said "yes, i've been awake forever", this was 4 in the morning. Then last night Johnny gave her a treatment before bed and i was still up at 3 with her for another one. She was really panicking last night and said "i felt like i was having a heart attack mommy" :) She immediately feels better with a breathing treatment and goes right to sleep then. She doesn't usually have this much trouble at this time of year, i don't know why she is right now. Poor thing said on the way to school "i don't like my body because i have owies (what she calls her exzema) allergies and asthma" That of course made me feel really bad but i told her she handled it all like such a big girl and that it made her very special and she just grinned at me. She was so excited to go back to school today, she said she almost for got what her teacher looked like.

Ethan would like to think he's a big boy these days. He thought he was pretty big stuff sitting at the table with sissy eating donuts. He is keeping us extremely busy these days. He sees Trey and Avery draw alot and has become obsessed with writing. I will take a picture of his canvases of choice one of these days. The toilet lid, several walls around the house and ALWAYS his feet. Today i caught him with a permanent marker but caught him before he did any damage. He just colored my calculator a little. He doesn't like mommy to go bye bye and starts clinging to me and crying as soon as he sees me start to put my work clothes on. He is starting to cut out one of his naps but naps really good when he does. I'm going to have to readjust everything once school starts again. He can get anywhere these days...we found him on top of the kitchen table yesterday. He also likes to hide in daddy and mommy's closet. His two latest accomplishments are...taking something to the trash when you tell him to and then waiting for your applause, and picking up his toys and putting them in his basket ( still working on this but he will put a few away). Anyway thats a little what's happening in the life of our little man at 14 and half months.
The kids have been wanting piggy back rides to bed at bedtime lately. Daddy has to carry Trey because he is getting a little too heavy for mommy!
Hope you all have a very Happy New Year! We have had a very lazy relaxing day at home today. The kids didn't make it to midnight last night. They were trying to stay up but when i got home at 11:15 from work they were all sacked out, so we had a very uneventful New Year's Eve. The kids don't go back to school until next Monday, for which they are both very anxious for(i know those days will come to an end soon!). So we have one more week of lazy mornings and then back to our school schedule. Hope your families have a very Happy New Year!
