Friday night we went to the hospital to visit Jessica. She had to go back to the hospital about two weeks ago because she keeps losing amniotic fluid. It keeps replenishing but they are keeping her in the hospital till she delivers. She is almost 31 weeks now and baby Eden is over 3 lbs. and doing great. Jessica is healing well but has a lot of pain. Her hips pop out of joint when she lays on them and she has vertigo really bad. I'm sure she has seen about all she will want to see ever of a hospital room. Continue to keep her in prayer, she just keeps plugging along. The kids had fun terrorizing her room, and Ethan was about to go stir crazy after a couple of hrs but we had a fun visit.
I worked my last scheduled weekday shift tonight. I have been working during the week at Chilis a couple of nights and also on the weekends, and soon Johnny and i are going to switch places with the busy schedules as he starts coaching basketball again in November. I will probably pick up a few more shifts before practice starts but i won't be on the schedule except for my Sat and Sun. night shifts so that will be nice. Some days I get a little overwhelmed having 3 part-time jobs, they keep me pretty busy, but then i stop and think about it... I'm so grateful that i'm able to work around Johnny's schedule so that he can be with the kids when i'm at work and that i am able to be home with them during the day! And one of these days when we become filthy rich (hee hee) i'm not going to have 3 jobs! :)
The kids were being silly while i snapped some pictures of Trey's hair that was in great need of a haircut. Ethan got a trim too, which is quite the challenge these days as he doesn't like to sit still at all. I ended up having to sit and hold him in my lap . Avery just watched and helped entertain Ethan. She has decided she wants to grow her hair out long again so that she can wear ponytails.
Ethan didn't have any trouble digging into his cake. Our oldest two didn't seem to want to get messy and we ended up having to smear their faces for pictures so we were holding out hope for Ethan.... and he didn't dissapoint....
Today our little guy is 1 year old! We are so thankful that God blessed our family with Ethan! He keeps us all smiling alot. Happy Birthday Ethan, we love you very much!
I found Trey sitting at the table drawing this morning. He has been sitting there all morning. Johnny loves to sit and draw and it seems his boy is picking that up from daddy.
The little stinker throws away just about everything he can get his hands on, and if he's not throwing something in he is digging all the trash that he can reach out. He keeps mommy very busy!
I am a 40 year old mom to four great kids and married to my crazy husband for 20 years. This blog is my means of journaling the happenings of our family so that someday our kids can look back and read "our story". You more than likely won't find any great recipes or fantastic craft ideas here, just posts about everyday life raising two boys and two girls. I also occasionally blog about running...another passion of mine. Good times, bad times, proud times, frustrating times...wouldn't trade this life for anything!
