Yook at my muscles
I think i've blogged about Ethan's meat aversion (that's just what i call it) before. The boy does not like meat, anything with meat in it or anything questionable that might have meat in it. Except for...a mcdonalds mcdouble or chicken nuggets which somehow in his little mind are OK. Don't get him a cheesburger from somewhere else though cause "it has meat in it"...we have tried explaining that it's the same but nope! I discussed it all with his doctor a while back and was told not to worry, this is probably a phase and he told me the things that were important that he got into his diet and we have been making sure he got those...whole wheat bread, beans (the boy LOVES beans!) and so on and so on.
Over time he has been broadening his horizons. He has eaten steak, grilled chicken, beef burritoes to name a few. Some nights it's by force of daddy making him take at least 3 or 4 bites, but sometimes he does better.
Only occasionally do we have the gagging and spitting up that used to be a nightly occurence along with his stubborn "hold this food in my mouth for 30 minutes tactics" that he used quite frequently. He's working on his mucsles. He is quite sure that everytime he eats something good, his muscles grow right there on the spot. Ok, so we pretend they are popping out of his shirt. His appetite is growing. We are going to have a massive muscle man in this house pretty soon!

Let's party
after her party she took a 3 hr nap till after 8pm, so Johnny kept her up and i got to cuddle her after i got off work that night. she was so hyper but finally sacked out. She had all her new toys with her in bed. Grandma Seaba got her this stroller and baby doll and she was zipping around with it so fast i couldn't get a picture or at least none of them turned out...so i guess this is the kind of picture you get with a 2 yr old and her stroller :)

Happy birthday baby!
Our baby is two years old today. Raegan Elise Seaba was born at 1:46 pm, weighing in at 9 lbs 2oz. She was beautiful. As anyone that reads my blog probably knows, she has had her struggles with severe eczema as an infant, which made her a very fussy miserable baby at times. Neither one of us slept much at all or for any significant period of time for the first 6 months of her life. After some changes were made in her diet and medicines things improved greatly and made life more bearable for both Raegan and mommy. She still battles the eczema and allergies now but not near as severe. We are so thankful she is a happy, healthy little girl. We are so blessed! She loves baby dolls right now, and she plays with hot wheels a lot (part of having big brothers i guess). She says "o-day" (okay), "pweese", "vavry" (avery) , she is exploding all of a sudden with her words, about half of which we understand what she is saying. Won't be long and she will be spitting out some sentences i'm sure.
We love you Raegan, you are a joy to our life and can't imagine life without you even though your as ornery as they come. We wouldn't trade you for the world. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!!

Fingerprint Friday
There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:
I can see the fingerprints of god
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of god
And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of god
So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them? Here's how to join in.
Hop on over to Pamperingbeki to see more or to join in
We have new baby kitties and new life whether it be babies or animals is just amazing to watch!

Little stinker
If you think she looks like a handful, your absolutely right. Johnny and i some times just shake our heads...she wears us both out. She is FULL of energy. A few of her shenanigans this week include: squirting soap on Avery's bedspread, smearing gum (how do you smear gum??i don't even know but check with raegan she has the technique down) on glass doors and all over the side of the fridge, smearing poop all over her play vacuum, escape the house to be found in a mud puddle, threw a kitten, pulled an all nighter, got a black sharpie and colored her arm, wore 2 pairs of panties at the same time as a trial and peed all over the floor, squirted bath soap on the bathroom rug (have i mentioned she obsessed with soap?), wrote some checks for me in my checkbook, took her diaper off too many times to count...just to name a few.
Took her to the doctor today...after 2 nights of bad sleep, i just knew and sure enough...do you know how many times i have heard "ouchie" when they peek into my childs ears? No, i don't either but it's been a lot! She now has an appointment with a specialist to consult on getting tubes.
I can't believe our little stinker will be 2 on Sunday. She is a bundle of energy!

Party at my crib
2:30 am rolled around and the crying began. Never a good sound to wake up to because when she wakes up i know it's going to be a LONG night! And as usual i tried bringing her into bed with me, that didn't work so went to the recliner until Avery came out saying she was having a bad dream over and over so told her to lay on the couch and after she fell asleep i headed into Avery's bed to hopefully crash with Raegan (it's that or put her into bed and have the whole household wake up to her screaming)
As i was dozing off i remember her climbing over me and sliding off the bed....the rest is kinda a blur. I was in and out all night. Raegan kept bringing me things-empty lotion containers that she had smeared all over her body (she is very strong smelling of a lotion scent this morning), a little pocket mirror that i opened aproximately 15 times in my semi-comatose state. I opened my eyes one time and she was standing beside me in Avery's swimming suit (wrong side out and backwards)
She decided at 6:45 that she had had it and crawled back over me into bed and fell fast asleep. I can't even tell you how strongly i felt against waking this child at 7:30! Nap time can't come soon enough...every time this has happened in the past she has had ear infections...we shall see! I quickly cleaned up Avery's messy room before waking her for school cause she would have flipped to see her room this way...i'll admit, she's like her momma in this area!

Mommy and her babies
Sparkle was acting funny one morning and she kept peeing every where she went, at least we thought it was pee. We were getting ready to go swimming and i went out to check on her cause i had a feeling she might be getting close and found her in the box Trey had gotten ready for her delivering her babies.
The four babies were born on the 10th. She has two gray ones, one black and white one and one gray and white one. They haven't opened their eyes yet but according to my google research, should any day :)
Sparkle is a good momma and let's Trey hold the kitties. He tested her the other day and brought one of the kittens inside and then showed Sparkle where it was. Sparkle came right in, picked it up by the neck and took it back to their basket. Good momma!
Anyone that wants a kitten or knows of anyone that might...we have four cute babies that will need homes in about 5 weeks or so.

What is and is not wrong with this picture?
Let's start with the IS
1. My 1 year old is holding and drinking a can of coke zero.
2. dolly now has hair thanks to Raegan.
3. my mini room without a name is trashed!
4. the sunscreen stick is laying out which means said 1 yr old has gotten her hands on it and it most likely has little finger gauges in it.
5. i didn't take the picture, which means kids were playing with the camera again.
6. the dribble's on raegan's dress means there is 3 times that much all over the floor
Now the IS NOT
1. these two are good buddies
2. these two i hope will be friends for life!
Even though there is more that is wrong the latter is what truly matters!

Back to school and 600
"take the picture and get out of her" she didn't actually say it but i'm pretty sure that's what she was thinking :)
This is my 600th post today! I was trying to come up with some unique post for my 600th but i think that will have to wait for my 700th or maybe even 1000th.Yesterday was the kids first day back to school...why we are starting on the 13 of August i have no idea, seems like it's earlier than last year but i can't really remember. I just know it creeped up on us really fast this year! Possibly because i didn't really want to be done hanging out at the pool!
They had a half day yesterday but today is a full day. This is Trey's last year of elementary because of the change next year of 6th grade being put with middle school. I can't believe how time flies...seriously!
oh and guess what mommy did on the 2nd day of school? I overslept, and when i woke up we had a max of 15 minutes to get out the door, it went surprisingly smooth and we made it on time!

Lazy days of summmer
I cannot believe summer has come to an end! We spent many a day at the pool. Not all of them were as relaxing as others. Some were spent with a tantrum throwing 1 yr old on my lap who was in desperate need of a nap, some were spent scolding the kids to stop asking for snacks and go play, and some were spent with a grouchy 3 yr old wanting to take off his life jacket (which mommy refused for my peace of mind), but most were spent with the kids playing with their cousins, eating lot's and lot's of snacks, and getting lot's and lot's of sun!
Next year the pool pass will again be a high priority on our purchase list! It saved my sanity this year. The summer did fly by though entirely too fast!
