On Friday the 28th we had Christmas with Grandpa and Grandma Seaba and Johnny's brothers and families. We even had snow for our belated Christmas together. We followed our Christmas tradition by going to a movie later that night. Raegan's first movie was "Alvin and the Chipmunks", (very cute, funny movie by the way) She did great and actually liked watching it when she was awake. We then had a house full of kids and adults that all stayed and spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa's Friday night.

Busted!

When i came home from work Thursday night i went in to check on the boys and found Trey asleep by his door. I asked Johnny why he was sleeping on his floor and he said he didn't know he was. Daddy had been watching Transformers and Trey was enjoying the show from his room but fell asleep and got found out :)

We all crammed into the living room Christmas morning to open the big mound of presents. We read the Christmas story and then sang some carols and then the true chaos began, trying to keep track of what each of the kids were receiving and who they were receiving it from!

On Christmas Eve we had another little family Christmas - opening the rest of our presents.

Sledding

The guys took the kids sledding with the snow that was left. They had gotten a lot of snow before we got there but it warmed up on Monday so was starting to melt off. They had fun with a snowball fight as well. Trevin- the next time we are around snow with you we will all hold Uncle Johnny down and let you throw a snowball at his face! :)

We spent Sun. afternoon through Wednesday at my parents in Hutchinson. It was a very full house and there was even a fifth wheel in the driveway for one family. I meant to get a picture of the Christmas tree sitting on the patio, that thanks to my two allergy girls ended up outside. They had bought a nice tree so i felt horrible but Raegan was so congested she could hardly breathe and Grandpa Neir said it wasn't worth leaving it in if that's what was causing it (thanks Grandpa).

The kids had a blast as always with their many cousins - it was pure craziness- let me tell ya- 19 crazy kiddos running everywhere makes even a decent sized house seem small. I am sure my parents are enjoying some peace and quiet and a clean house today now that everyone has gone home :)

Sunday morning before going to church we let the kids open a couple of their gifts and their stockings. After opening the gifts we packed the van up so that we could hit the road as soon as we left church later that morning.

It has been a crazy week-the kids last day of school was Tuesday so i have been adjusting to having all of the kids home all day. Ethan has not been napping, he just can't stand to hear "bubba" and "sissy" in the other room. We have been doing our last minute Christmas shopping as always. (every year i think i'm going to do better and get done early-just doesn't happen) The last couple of nights Johnny has been gift wrapping his little heart out. Now tomorrow i just have the fun job of packing which i think i may do at midnight when i get home from work-just seems to go better when the kids are asleep and not going through everything i pack!

I probably will not be posting again till after Christmas, so Merry Christmas from our family to yours! Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!

My Superhero

Ethan is obsessed with superheroes right now!! "man" (spiderman), "BATMAN" (has to be said at the top of your lungs), incredibles, and anyone else who wears a cape and a mask. I remember when Trey wore this very same costume to bed every night and now it's his little brothers turn. It is still a bit big and has to be rolled up on the arms and legs but that doesn't matter to him.

He has become quite the tv watcher which can really help mommy out at times. His favorites are "bob" sponegebob, which when it come on you can hear him yell "yi yi catain" (aye aye captain), Scooby doo is "scooby du whe ah you". The other favorites are Wonderpets which he has renamed "teamwork" (they sing about teamwork) and of course "wiwles" Wiggles. He is at the age where he doesn't understand that when a commercial comes on that it is going to come back on so that is very frustrating for both mommy and him! :)

Grandpa Seaba's 62nd birthday was on Saturday. Grandma and the granddaughters made Christmas cookies before lunch and then everyone had lunch together. Then all the grandkids including Raegan went to Grandpa and Grandma's to spend the night. They all had a blast! The cousins all have fun getting to spend time together. Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for making a fun weekend for them to remember!
